Legacy Multimedia garners Videographer Awards, Hermes Creative Awards

June 26, 2009 (Houston, TX) – The Videographer Awards recently announced winners for the 2009 international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement in video production. Among the winners is Legacy Multimedia, for the creation of “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan” and “Emma Little Bailey & The Baileys of Coffeeville.” These tribute videos were chosen from among 1,800 entries, earning what is considered one of the most coveted awards in the video industry.

The Videographer Awards identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in their work, a description that accurately represents the work created by Legacy Multimedia. Established by Stefani Twyford and Isabelle MacCrimmon, Legacy Multimedia helps families, individuals, companies and organizations chronicle history, share life stories, connect generations and preserve their legacies in timeless, high-quality multimedia presentations. Twyford and MacCrimmon share the same creative vision and the same keen interest in preserving personal legacies for posterity, using video as their medium.

The “Emma Little Bailey & The Baileys of Coffeeville” won an Award of Distinction in the Videographer Awards. This video tribute was created to honor Emma Little Bailey, the matriarch of the Bailey family. Her family currently consists of four generations that have included a congressman, a doctor, and several businessmen and prominent members of the community. The video was shot on location in Mississippi, capturing Bailey in her surroundings and spotlighting the incredible contribution she has made to the community as well as to her family.

The “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan” was created for The Blue Bird Circle annual gala in 2008. This video tribute won an Award of Excellence in the Videographer Awards. Focusing on the Duncan’s charitable giving and support of the Texas Children’s Hospital, the video gives a unique perspective of the couple: who they are, their role in the community, and why this cause is so important to them. The high-quality techniques and creative use of interviews, music, photos, and other elements helped create a one-of-a-kind multimedia presentation. The result is a well-crafted, emotive tribute to one of Houston’s leading couples.

The “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan” also received an Honorable Mention in the Hermes Creative Awards 2009 competition. The Hermes Creative Awards recognizes outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals. There were more than 3,700 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries in this year’s competition.

Twyford and MacCrimmon have gained a reputation for offering the utmost quality in tribute videos and biographies for a discerning clientele that appreciates the lasting value of fine craftsmanship. These awards are just a few in a growing list that’s led by the kudos garnered from clients.
