Legacy Multimedia Earns Crystal Icon Award for Video Tribute
Video Tribute wins Best Event Videography
September 7, 2009 (Houston, TX) – The Houston Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) recently announced the winners for the 2009 Crystal ICON Awards. The Crystal ICON Awards celebrate the professionals who have made the greatest impact on the Houston events industry during the preceding year. Amongst the winners was Legacy Multimedia, winning Best Event Videography for the second year in a row.
Each year, the Crystal ICON Awards recipients represent the highest caliber of professionals in a variety of categories. The recipients have demonstrated excellence in their field and a dedication to making the city of Houston one of the primary event destinations in the country. The Crystal ICON Award marks the third videography award garnered by the “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan.”
Established by Stefani Twyford and Isabelle MacCrimmon, Legacy Multimedia helps families, individuals, companies, and organizations chronicle history, share life stories, connect generations, and preserve their legacies in timeless, high-quality multimedia presentations. Twyford and MacCrimmon share the same creative vision and the same keen interest in preserving personal legacies for posterity, using video as their medium.
The “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan” was created for The Blue Bird Circle annual gala in 2008. Focusing on the Duncan’s charitable giving and support of the Texas Children’s Hospital, the video gives a unique perspective of the couple: who they are, their role in the community, and why this cause is so important to them. The high-quality techniques and creative use of interviews, music, photos, and other elements helped create a one-of-a-kind multimedia presentation. The result is a well-crafted, emotive tribute to one of Houston’s leading couples.
The “Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan” also received an Honorable Mention in the Hermes Creative Awards 2009 competition and an Award of Excellence in the 2009 Videographer Awards. The Hermes Creative Awards recognizes outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals; there were more than 3,700 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries in this year’s competition. The Videographer Awards, considered one of the most coveted awards in the video industry, identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in their work; chosen from among 1,800 entries, earning what is considered one of the most coveted awards in the video industry.
Twyford and MacCrimmon have gained a reputation for offering the utmost quality in tribute videos and biographies for a discerning clientele that appreciates the lasting value of fine craftsmanship. These awards are just a few in a growing list that’s led by the kudos garnered from clients.
